he is in police custody after being responsible for killing 3 pak civilians
a CIA agent cought red handed.
does he deserves anything less than death punishment.|||This is the picture as I've seen it reported. This man was working for the US consulate and two armed men held him up while at a traffic intersection. He shot them in self defence as police later found weapons on them. The third man was killed by a vehicle from the Consular office that was going to the aid of their official.
You might give a link to a news report of this so we can verify that what you assert is true.
In this case you have a distorted view of what happened.
As for punishment. The US president has requested that he be returned to the US for investigation. This is normal for those with diplomatic immunity and would apply similarly if a Pakistani official had killed an American.
These are the rules of the game.
Pakistan seems to be full of individuals who have no respect for law and order and the sacredness of human life.
The death penalty, by the way, is state sponsored murder and is uncivilized.
I am not an American, in case you wondered.|||Pakistan is not a stable governable country in which diplomatic conventions can be followed in the same way that they can in others. Certain sections of the state are at war with the United States. There are elements in the security services which are not controllable by the central government, and which have their own policies towards the foreign forces supporting the Afghan government.
This being the case, these organisations or groups are playing 'big boys games', and must expect to be opposed by those using 'big boys rules'.
The practice of most countries in the face of attacks which are coming from another state, is one of proportionate response. If one drunken border guard wanders over the magic line, you send two drunken marines to escort him back to his own side. You don't launch minutemen. Likewise, if some people are organising surreptitious attacks on allied troops, the response might be to organise some surreptitious attacks on them.
IF (and it is IF) Davies was not what he seemed, the US would still be justified in using any means it chose to extricate him.|||There is never any right or wrong when American citizens are involved, only American interests which always supersede any other consideration. That's why the US is so disliked.
