on 2005 UNC team was Raymond Felton,Rashad McCants,Jackie Manuel,Jawad Williams,and Sean May in the starting lineup with the 6th man off the bench being Marvin Williams.





On the 2009 team Ty Lawson,Wayne Ellington,Danny Green,Dion Thompson,and Tyler Hansbrough were the starters with the 6th man off the bench being Ed Davis

Illinois was a better team. The 2005 UNC players all suck in the NBA, Illinois has 2 good players in the NBA from 2005 and a few other OK ones.





Edit- I'm not mad, I'm just surprised how bad that was and how they got away with it. College sports are corrupt. So are SOME pro sports.





Edit- The 2009 UNC team did make it fair*. But 85% of the calls were in UNC's favor in 2005. The refs fouled out 6'10 C PF James Agustine in the 1st 6 minuets of the game. And they let Sean"Fat" May charge, tackle, plow, and foul everyone, and they called only 1 foul on him the whole game. Youtube will show you too.





Edit- All the calls against James A. were bad and purposely made by the refs.


Yes that is the greatest comeback in college basketball history. There were actually 3 minuets left and Illinois came back. That's why I say Deron Williams is a top 3 clutch player today. From that day to today.


And another reason the Illinois team was the best is that with no James Augustine(one of their best players) they only lost by 5 points.|||2005 vs 2009

That alone says a lot about their talent and depth - they ran through everybody in college basketball that seasond|||I'll go 2009. Just because of how they got there and the story of all the players.|||2009 But only because Ty Lawson ran that team like he should have. Don't get me wrong I liked the 2005 team as well but the 09 team played better together right when they needed to. Being a Tar Heels fan no matter what anytime the win a championship its a good team. And they were the best in the country at that time.|||2005
